 The
expanded size and weight of high performance subwoofers can cause
serious difficulties when service or maintenance is required, or for
a case when the speaker cone has been physically damaged. QCA technology
is the result of ECLIPSE engineers devising a speaker design that
would allow a single speaker to be split into two by unlocking the
two sections. It was important that the design would not compromise
speaker performance. The resulting QCA design facilitates replacing
a damaged speaker cone in a few moments, making sure there's minimal
down time. This innovative technology has been incorporated into several
subwoofer models and contributes greatly to keeping even the most
complex subwoofer systems in perfect order.
